Diabetes is the leading cause of new cases of blindness among adults ages 20 to 74. We recommend that all diabetic patients have a dilated eye exam every year to check for signs of diabetic retinopathy. If diabetic retinopathy is identified early, it can be more easily treated. If your primary care physician has diagnosed you with diabetes, call us to schedule a comprehensive eye exam. We will communicate the results of your eye exam to your primary care physician.
