Dr. Abert graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a degree in Biological Sciences. He graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry and did his residency at the West Los Angeles Veteran’s Healthcare Center. Dr. Abert founded Vista Eye Care in 2010 with the goal of creating a family eye care practice offering a wide variety of eye care services to the community. When not in clinic, Dr. Abert enjoys spending time with his children, as well as hiking, running, and cooking. Dr. Abert is a member of the American Academy of Optometry, the American Optometric Association, and the Colorado Optometric Association. In 2009, Dr. Abert became a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry and is a diplomate in the American Board of Optometry.

Dr. Pedroza graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a degree in Organismal Biology. She graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry. Dr. Pedroza enjoys working with kids, and is uniquely talented at children’s eye care. In her free time, Dr. Pedroza loves spending time with her daughter Sophia and son Nathaniel, as well as traveling, reading, and fitness. Dr. Pedroza is a member of the American Academy of Optometry, the American Optometric Association, Colorado Optometric Association, and the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.

Dr. Swenson grew up in South Dakota and attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln where she received her bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. She then went on to earn her Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. Dr. Swenson’s clinical interests include providing primary care for all ages, managing ocular disease, and fitting specialty contact lenses. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Colorado Optometric Association. In her free time, Dr. Swenson enjoys hiking, biking, cooking, and music.

Dr. Vanray, O.D. graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in Biology. She received her Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. She then completed a residency with Indian Health Services in Kayenta, Arizona where she continued to serve the Native American population for 5 years. She then moved to the Denver area with her husband and her dog Dusty. Dr. Vanray enjoys hiking, baking, and skiing.

Dr. Diana Wong was born and raised in Alberta, Canada.  She earned her Bachelor’s in Visual Science and Doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon.  Dr. Wong enjoys caring for patients of all ages and strives to ensure all their visual needs are met.   She has particular interests in ocular pathology and specialty contact lenses.  Dr. Wong and her husband, Zach (who is also an optometrist!) are very passionate about volunteering their optometric skills to underserved populations around the world. Together, they have provided vision services to thousands of patients in Vietnam, Belize, and El Salvador.  When not in clinic, Dr. Wong enjoys travelling, yoga, rock climbing, and skiing.

Dr. Caitlyn grew up on the Central Coast of California and was married last year.  Her passion is working with pediatric patients and she runs our Binocular Vision and Vision Therapy clinic.  When not helping children see and learn, she is busy sweating it out in 120 degree hot yoga studio.  Dr. Caitlyn also loves hiking and reading!
