“In the past two years, Thorncreek Church has had over 300 runners participate in the Peru 5K. Runners of every age and ability, from those in strollers to senior citizens, have helped Thorncreek Church raise thousands of dollars for friends in Peru. In fact, over $20,000 has been raised in the past two years alone. These dollars have gone to support Thorncreek Church’s mission teams that have worked in Negritos, Peru as well as adding to a clean water storage project that has allowed the Child Development Center to have running water seven days a week. In the summer of 2014, Thorncreek Church will again be taking a team of over 20 individuals to Negritos where they will minister directly to the people there through building projects, vacation bible school, and development of a new facility for the Child Development Center. By running and supporting the Peru 5K you will help yourself physically and mentally, you’ll have fun, and you will make a difference in another corner of the world. Join us today!”
